Now that I think about it, I’m not so sure that I’m ready to post, since it seems like I never have anything to talk about. So, I’m thinking that I should just take down the site in about a month, redesign it, maybe make my homepage the blog (since not much is going on there) and just start fresh, maybe make it my “Story Blog” or something. So now once again, the site and everything is “Under construction”.

Though, that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t like to try. That’s why I’m an active member on the gaming site www.kongregate.com. “Kongregate” is what the name suggests, a social network based around playing free, regular online games. Nothing different than any of your regular flash-game hosters, though with Kongregate you can feel like you’ve archived something when you get points for your account when wasting your life. You gain levels and compete against others to try to beat everyone. It’s just points. That may be what you thought, but Kongregate has some of the most well known games, such as Super Crazy Guitar Mania Deluxe 2, and Dolphin Olympics 2, both which I have never heard of until now, which makes doing this actually fun. It’s like playing the games you normally would, now with just a small incentive.

So what’s this thing that makes Kongregate different? As I said earlier, you just earn points for doing certain things in certain games. It’s a very simple concept, but seems to just attract people, or at least me. Im only level 3 on the scale, though I always play games on Kongregate, just so I can earn worthless points. It must be a human thing.

What was the show about? Just video game history, with people telling you how it was at that time. No, I’m talking about doing it in a hip way, not a boring history class. You would always be engaged with the topics. Okay, I have to admit that I would never be able to remeber even about 1 minute of what they all are talking about (Yes, it’s not just one person throughout the whole show), but that’s another thing that makes it great, I can watch it over and over. I don’t have memory lose, it’s just that for every 8 minute episode, so much is packed in that I have to watch it a few times.

So far, a good number of high quality videos have been put out on the website, www.onnetworks.com. I wouldn’t really recommend downloading them from iTunes and then watching them on your iPod, it’s quicker to just go straight to the website. The loading time is pretty long, though it’s well worth the wait. I would highly recommend this program and all of the OnNetwork shows to anyone interested. Other genres gone to are golf, cleaning how-to, and World Of Warcraft. More later.

Let’s get rolling!

So, as I said before, I’ve been running track. Okay, before it wasn’t that bad. But now… I totally hate it. Okay, I’ve never really liked track, and why? Well, for some reason, even though I really don’t care about how I do, I still am always stressed out when a race comes up. Anyway, I always say that  if I wouldn’t have to go to all of the meets, I would go to the practices without any trouble, but now I’m having to face second thoughts.

Okay, so I have to give it to the guy who takes the time out of his day to try to run around a track with some kids, but he doesn’t seem to be able to take a hint. Like yesterday, when there was practice. No one even really cares what he says, not even his own kids. You might think that I’m being a little hard on him, but let me set you up a little senerio.

On Thursday, which was when this had happened, he took a group out running. He had stayed back with the slower running (He really didn’t want to get tired running with me) so that pretty much allowed the other group to do whatever they wanted to. So, we decide to just finish up quickly… and see what happens.

That ends “Part #1″. Sorry, I got sidetracked, and now I have better things to do… I don’t know :).

Oh, but before I go, I just wanted to say that I’m pretty happy, I currently have a 97% in English and a 96% in Social Studies… or whatever you want to call it. Pretty nice!

I’ve been working on the website, you should check it out, I’m going to add another section about my actual web design. I told one of my teachers about, and assured him (One of the only male teachers) that no pornographic material lurks in the corners. So, I’ll see what he says. Anyway, a lot has happened today.

After reading some fine Poe literature, a trip to the local SPCA took place. There is a cat in the family, though it seems like she might be lookin’ for a friend. We got this female calico, only ab about 1 in 3000 are male, at the pet store. This was because before two sweet young tabbies came into the family from the SPCA. They became ill shortly after…

That day one fact was set, just to look. It was so hard, so many cats looked up with wide eyes and mouths wide open. All were adult, none under the age of say 8 months. All were so cute, they all had spent too long there. The shortest time one spent there was about a week, while one had spent more than 4 months. One of the cats there was blind in both eyes, and all she ever did was sleep. It was sad.

I have a Youtube account, just to post comments and to subscribe to people, I don’t have any videos. So then someone subscribed to me, and I was like “What?”. So, of course, I checked out the persons account, and watched a few videos, to see why someone was subscribing to me. They only had two videos, both which were just weird and just plain stupid, while they both had over 1,000 views. They had over 1,200 channel views, without doing anything except for subscribing to over 6,000 people!

This leads me onto my next topic. It seems like wherever you go, there are always ads saying “Get 2,000,000 readers in the next 15 minutes!” which always annoys me. Seriously, what are the odds that anyone that somehow got directed to your site would actually car. A little hard to believe. The best way I’ve found is to just talk to a few people about it, and the word of mouth is free! That’s the rant of the day.

Though, I do have a few things that are keeping me busy.

#1 - I’ve still been working on my homework website. Currently, I’ve been frustrated (that’s all I ever am) with trying to just have an image have a transparent background. If you have the time, check out www.joebellsound.com, to see what type of design (just to get ideas) I’m trying to get. Notice the image. If anyone could help, please comment.

#2 - The reason I didn’t post yesterday was because I had so much homework, track, and a church thing. Expect only about 6 posts a week, unless I could squeeze more than one in during the weekend.

#3 - I’ve been trying to learn how to make a fire from scratch. Some cool things go from rubbing a 9 Volt Battery on some steel wool, to the classic “Bow And Pointy End” trick. I should try them over the weekend.
