Ah, no need to worry. Just recently I was able to set up a Wordpress blog (http://www.gaudyspuds.com/blog) so your entertainment is resolved. I just hope I can post something everyday, more laid back. I hope you can check it out soon.

Mr. Spuds,
Missing the witty insightful essays on ordinary happenings. I hope that when you have time, you will resume your writing. Although there may not be lots of new events to write about, it's your spin on the mundane that is often hilarious and spot on.

Yep, I've been awaiting the release. I've even gone far enough to add the song to my Tumblr page and my iPod. I can't believe it, it would be even cooler if you could play it on the Wii!

Yeah, though the coach doesn't really help. Like yesterday he sent an email saying "Try to run everyday, several of you have had the most impressive first two weeks of practice and I would to see your full potential realized this spring" (I don't know what "I would to see" means, put that's what he said, word for word.). It's just that a few minutes before a race, say when I'm running the mile, I start to get all jittery and wish that I had never signed up. Like I have butterflies in my stomach. It's not that I really care, I just would always get nervous.

My boy,

My advice: don't take your track so seriously that it stresses you out. It's for your enjoyment after all. It's not all about winning.

Consider Uncle C's seventh grade soccer team. Before the last game, the coach screamed at us, saying that he had never coached a team that had no wins and especially a team that did not score any goals (the latter sort of implies the former, but I digress). He inspired us to lose the last game, 0-1, and our team went down in history as winless and scoreless. I did not take it personally in fact it was kind of funny. In the next year, a different coach took the same kids (8th grade) to the state playoffs.

I'm not sure what point I was making here except its all up to you whether you want to enjoy it. Winning or losing, number of goals etc ,sometimes isn't that important.

Hey GaudySpuds,
After I read today's blog, I settled down to do the Sunday Crossword Puzzle. One of the clues was "early Goth Author". I don't know if "Poe" would have jumped to my mind had I not read your blog but it was the answer. HMMMMM. I think getting pets from the SPCA can be a big question mark....sometimes they are sick, sometimes they are old, sometimes they have behavior problems and don't make good attachments to their owners. When you do find one, they somehow know you saved them and are forever greatful. Getting a pet from the SPCA is still far better than getting one from a pet store (aka puppy or pet mill). Hope you find a good one soon.

Yeah, that's how I mostly spend my days. And hey, it seems like others are wasting their time reading what I have to talk about, over 130 views!

If you are spending an hour doing homework, think of what some of your classmates have to spend. Hate to burst your bubble but it only gets worse-ask your cousin in 10th grade.
What's keeping me busy?
reading blogs
keeping my abs buff
teaching aunti ipswitch how to make a better pie-her culinary expertise isn't all she says
trying not to do any real work
